Legacy Carrier (LGCY)
Legacy carriers, also known as full-service carriers, are established airlines that have been in operation for a significant period and typically offer a wide range of services. These airlines usually provide multiple cabin classes, such as economy, business, and first class, as well as amenities like in-flight entertainment, meals, and frequent flyer programs. Legacy carriers often operate extensive networks with both domestic and international routes.
Examples of legacy carriers include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines in the United States; British Airways and Lufthansa in Europe; and Philippine Airlines, Japan Airlines and Qantas in the Asia-Pacific region.
